Day 144 …… Cappuccinis at Finibus Terrae, Puglia, Italy

We walked to Finibus Terrae (of the border) in Roman times the end of the land. Also the end of the Apulian Aqueduct …. something I seem to remember learning vaguely at school.

It also happens to be where the Ionian and Adriatic Seas meet, a very interesting day spent taking in some spectacular views over Santa Maria de Leuca after climbing 270 steps where we had some great cappuccinis (small but deliciously extra strong) and sweet heart shaped almond cakes. The mono today was passing through the extensive and very wealthy marina. These Italians are so very sociable, groups of chairs were dotted around the yachties boardwalks – so very Italian.
