Today we had rain, thunderstorms and lightening and sunshine with 25 degrees in between. Quite a day weather wise but also good for broody lighting for imagery. I was on my way to a historical place called Patu and happened upon these olive groves. We pulled over and I was happily immersed in olive world when the heavens opened! I dd manage to get some images of these immensely characterful trees. Some so old, Methuselah must have been around when they they were saplings. Some I saw were straddled growing across the stone dykes. The mono here shows one with such age, it twists and turns with the centuries and sights it must have seen.
