After a week of relentless rain, the contrast was astounding this morning, we were basking in 80 degrees by lunchtime which carried through the whole of the day. With clear blue skies we took off on our bikes to explore the Foret Andaines which we now find ourselves living in. Wood, trees, timber, lumber it is everywhere. So many times we were reminded of our travels in Canada and Alaska and at times expecting to see evidence of bear but only to see deer and a bat braving the daylight hours. The trees are still very bare of any foliage but if you look carefully life is beginning.
