The personality of the chateau reveals itself with the attention to detail and personal effects including artwork that are on display. There is a homely feeling here which I was quite surprised to experience and quite unlike any other I have visited in the past. Unbelievably, the whole of the property including the gardens, 12 rooms that were open to the public and the gift shop/ticket booth was manned by just two women! Can you imagine that happening in any National Trust property? This allowed for an element of trust, a very relaxed feel which encouraged you linger and soak up the atmosphere without officials watching your every move. They did have unobtrusive CCTV though. I took so many images whilst there, these are a cross section of some of them.
