Saturday night and we decided to treat ourselves to an evening out at our local creperie just 10 mins stroll along our country lane in the hamlet of Saint Brigitte. La Ribote is run by Gilain a lovely lady for the past 22 years. It is beautifully authentic and tres traditional ambiance. Gilain makes all the crepes herself with just one Mademoiselle to to do the serving, we were in for a treat.
We had a ‘Foreistiere’ Gallette made with Ble Noir flour a buckwheat flour and specific to Brittany, nutty in flavour and rustic, the filling was mouth wateringly good, mushrooms, fromage, onion and an egg. Washed down with Rose and Burgundy our desert course finale was a Caramel and Sel Beurre crepe each, Oh so good too!
