a sunny summers day in Newlyn

lovely to see the new railings along the promenade, the rusting dilapidated ones now a past memory, wish I had photographed them now

headed off next to The Newlyn Art Gallery, to see the exhibition In Search of the Miraculous an exhibition of international artists, inspired by and marking the 40th anniversary of the voyage made by Dutch artist Bas Jan Ader, who set sail alone in July 1975 in a 12½ foot dinghy Ocean Wave from Massachusetts to cross the Atlantic to Falmouth, Cornwall, disappearing en route.

lunch at Mackerel Sky, go there it is sooooo good 🙂

so lovely to see someone reading a good old fashioned book on the beach in the sunshine

I then found my first secondhand Homburg in The Strand as worn by Churchill and Bogart which will be another story…TBC
