Bharwad Tribe #3

Portrait #3 mother, grand-daughter and grand children in a remote village near Dasada unknown to the viewer is the fact that the rest of the 1000+ villagers (perhaps not all) were crowded outside the families homestead watching the photographic proceedings.

  1. Love the gentle vignette in the first and the shy smile in the second. The monochrome consistency of the series is very strong. India is a very colourful nation and yet you took this disciplined approach….another book or an exhibition perhaps, Lesley?

    1. I want to create a timeless and consistent approach for those very reasons, book, exhibition etc., I always feels there are too many colour images of india already and need to apply my own style 😉
